It's Here! Introducing:
ALLIGATOR CREEK PECAN!
I'm super excited about this flavor and it's been weeks and weeks in the making! Alligator Creek Pecan features Sleepy Ridge Ranch-made Pecan Extract. It's made with Texas Hill Country pecans and a Texas vodka made in Austin. The vodka is made with spring waters from right here in Mason County. The extract takes 6 weeks to make, but oh boy, is it worth it! The extract is added to Grandpa's Original before cooking - what's left is a wonderfully smooth pecan variation that is winning blind taste tests. It's awesome with any meat, but we think it's especially good on brisket. It's only here this fall, so don't wait too long to grab you a jar!
The name comes from a creek near my grandparents ranch (the Original Sleepy Ridge Ranch) in Spicewood, TX. A portion of it runs along what was my great-grandparents property. It has large pecan trees still. When my sister ands I were little we used to go with Grandpa and Grandma to that part of Alligator Creek to help them gather pecans. They would knock them out of the trees with long poles and my sister and I would pick them up. We had a great time and had no idea it was work!
